Hey, I’m Tayla, the rebel behind Vintage Rebels.
This brand was born after I had my daughter. Becoming a mum flipped my world upside down, but it also lit a fire in me—I wanted to show her that you don’t have to fit in to belong.
Truth is, I’ve never felt “normal.” I’ve always been the one who was too quiet, a little too 'weird', a little too spicy for the room. For years, I thought that was a flaw. Now? I see it as my superpower.
Vintage Rebels is my rebellion—against boring fashion, against fast fashion, and against the idea that we should shrink ourselves to fit in. I wanted to create clothes that feel good, look badass, and let you wear your attitude on your sleeve—literally.
For the women who are done with “be quiet, be good, calm down.” For the eco-conscious, the loud-laughers, the bookworms, the wild ones—anyone tired of playing small. Vintage Rebels is your badge of honour.
Vintage Rebels didn’t start as a clothing brand. Back in New Zealand, it began with me—new mum, sleep-deprived, making handmade baby items at the kitchen table. It was a creative outlet, a way to stay sane, and a way to create something with heart when the world felt chaotic.
Slowly, my little handmade hustle started to shift. I began experimenting with clothing and accessories that reflected my rebel energy—bold, cheeky, unapologetic. Pieces that weren’t about blending in, but about standing out.
When I relaunched in Australia, that’s when everything truly took off. Vintage Rebels transformed into what it is today: a comfort-first, statement-making, anti–fast fashion brand that gives women the freedom to wear their attitude on their sleeve—literally.
From baby bibs in NZ to bold tees in Aus, this brand has grown just like me: raw, real, and unafraid to evolve. And now? We’re not just a brand. We’re a rebellion.
